One of the client projects I work on with Lairdesign is the Irish News Club and Volunteer Wards.
This is a scheme that recognises the achievement and work of GAA clubs and volunteers across Ulster. It is unique in Ireland in that it celebrates the contribution of the ordinary man or woman to the GAA.
For the Club and Volunteer Awards my task is fairly simple. From a supplied list of GAA volunteers across Ulster, I phone them up and talk to them about their involvement in their club or school; get a sense of what the GAA and the Club means in their life; and from there get a short quotation to be used in an ad. I work with the designers in Lairdesign to construct the final advertisement.
